Lower eyelid surgery (lower blepharoplasty) is a cosmetic procedure performed to treat under-eye bags, excess skin, loose tissues, and fat deposits beneath the eyes. The procedure restores a more youthful, rested, and refreshed appearance while reducing the tired or aged look around the eyes. Each treatment is individually planned according to the patient's eye anatomy, skin quality, and aesthetic goals.

The surgical technique is selected based on the patient's individual anatomy. Incisions are typically placed just below the eyelashes or, in suitable candidates, inside the lower eyelid (transconjunctival approach), leaving no visible external scar. During the procedure, excess skin may be removed, fat pads can be repositioned or refined, and the under-eye contour is carefully smoothed to achieve a natural transition between the eyelid and the cheek.

Following surgery, it is normal to experience swelling, mild bruising, temporary tearing, and mild sensitivity during the first few days. Most patients are able to return to their normal social activities within 7 to 10 days. Final results continue to improve over the following weeks as swelling gradually resolves. Following the surgeon's post-operative instructions and attending regular follow-up visits help ensure natural-looking, balanced, and long-lasting results.
