Arm Lift
Arm Lift
Arm lift (brachioplasty) is a cosmetic surgical procedure performed to remove excess skin, tighten loose tissues, and, when necessary, eliminate stubborn fat deposits from the upper arms. It is especially beneficial for individuals who have developed sagging arms due to significant weight loss, aging, or genetic factors. The goal is to create firmer, more toned, and better-contoured arms that are in harmony with the rest of the body.
Each procedure is individually planned according to the patient's skin elasticity, body anatomy, and the degree of skin laxity. During surgery, excess skin is removed, unwanted fat may be reduced, and the arm contour is carefully reshaped. When appropriate, the procedure can be combined with liposuction to achieve smoother and more natural-looking results. The primary objective is to restore a balanced arm contour while maintaining natural body proportions.
Following surgery, it is normal to experience swelling, temporary edema, mild bruising, and a feeling of tightness during the first few days. Most patients can return to their normal daily activities within approximately 2 to 3 weeks, although strenuous physical activities should be postponed until approved by the surgeon. Wearing a compression garment as recommended helps reduce swelling, supports healing, and improves the final contour. As recovery progresses, the results become increasingly visible, revealing slimmer and more defined upper arms.
