Deep Plane Facelift
Deep Plane Facelift
Deep plane facelift is an advanced facial rejuvenation procedure that repositions not only the skin but also the deep facial support tissues (SMAS layer) to restore a more youthful, natural, and refreshed appearance. It is particularly effective for individuals with noticeable sagging of the cheeks, jawline, neck, and nasolabial folds. By addressing the deeper facial structures rather than simply tightening the skin, this technique provides long-lasting and natural-looking results.
The procedure is individually planned according to the patient's facial anatomy, skin quality, and degree of aging. During a deep plane facelift, the underlying facial tissues are carefully released and repositioned instead of placing tension on the skin alone. When appropriate, the surgery may be combined with neck lift, eyelid surgery, brow lift, or fat grafting to achieve a more comprehensive facial rejuvenation while maintaining natural facial expressions.
Following surgery, it is normal to experience swelling, mild bruising, temporary edema, and a feeling of tightness during the first few days. Most patients are able to resume their social activities within approximately 2 to 3 weeks, although complete resolution of swelling and the final results may take several months. Following post-operative instructions and attending regular follow-up appointments are essential for optimal healing and for achieving long-lasting, balanced, and natural outcomes.
