Breast Lift
Breast Lift
Breast lift (mastopexy) is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to reshape sagging breasts, reposition the nipple and areola to a more youthful position, and restore a firmer, more lifted, and natural-looking breast contour. It is commonly performed for women experiencing breast sagging following pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, or the natural aging process. Each procedure is individually tailored according to the patient's breast anatomy, skin quality, and aesthetic goals.
During surgery, excess skin is removed, the breast tissue is reshaped, and the nipple-areola complex is elevated to achieve a more youthful appearance. For patients with significant volume loss, a breast lift may be combined with breast implants or fat grafting to restore both shape and fullness. The primary goal is to create symmetrical, well-proportioned, and long-lasting results while maintaining a natural appearance.
Following surgery, it is normal to experience mild discomfort, swelling, temporary edema, and a feeling of tightness during the first few days. Most patients can return to their daily routine within approximately 1 to 2 weeks, although strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for several weeks. Wearing a supportive surgical bra as recommended by the surgeon helps support healing and allows the breasts to settle into their new shape. As swelling gradually resolves, the final results become increasingly visible, revealing a firmer, more youthful, and naturally lifted breast contour.
