Liposuction

Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to remove stubborn fat deposits from areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, arms, and under the chin to create a more sculpted, balanced, and defined body contour. It is important to note that liposuction is not a weight-loss procedure, but rather a body contouring treatment for individuals who have localized fat deposits that do not respond to a healthy diet and regular exercise.

The procedure is individually planned according to the patient's body anatomy, skin elasticity, and the amount of excess fat. Through small, discreet incisions, thin cannulas are used to gently remove unwanted fat while preserving smooth and natural body contours. Liposuction may be combined with procedures such as abdominoplasty, arm lift, neck lift, or other body contouring surgeries to achieve more comprehensive and harmonious results.

Following the procedure, it is normal to experience swelling, temporary edema, mild bruising, and tenderness during the first few days. Most patients can return to their daily routine within a few days, while wearing a compression garment as recommended by the surgeon helps reduce swelling and supports the healing process. As recovery progresses and swelling subsides, the body's new contours become increasingly visible, with final results continuing to improve over the following weeks and months.
