Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty

Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to remove excess abdominal skin, repair weakened abdominal muscles, and improve the appearance of stubborn fat deposits. It is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing loose skin and muscle separation following pregnancy, significant weight loss, or the natural aging process. The goal is to create a flatter, firmer, and more contoured abdomen while maintaining natural body proportions.

Each procedure is carefully planned according to the patient's body anatomy, skin elasticity, and individual goals. During surgery, excess skin and fat are removed, and when necessary, the abdominal muscles are repaired and tightened to restore core support and improve body contour. Abdominoplasty may also be combined with liposuction to enhance the waistline and achieve a more balanced silhouette. Every treatment plan is tailored to deliver natural-looking and long-lasting results.

Following surgery, it is normal to experience swelling, temporary edema, mild discomfort, and a feeling of tightness during the first few days. Most patients are able to return to their normal daily activities within approximately 2 to 4 weeks, although strenuous exercise should be avoided until cleared by the surgeon. Wearing a compression garment as recommended supports the healing process, helps reduce swelling, and enhances the final body contour. As recovery progresses, the abdomen gradually becomes smoother, firmer, and more defined.
