Back Lift
Back Lift
Back lift is a body contouring procedure performed to remove excess skin, localized fat deposits, and skin laxity from the upper and lower back. It is commonly recommended for individuals who experience sagging skin following significant weight loss, aging, or reduced skin elasticity. The goal is to achieve a firmer, smoother, and more contoured back, creating natural and harmonious body proportions.
The procedure is individually planned according to the patient's body structure, skin quality, degree of skin laxity, and aesthetic goals. During surgery, excess skin is removed, and when necessary, localized fat deposits are sculpted using liposuction to enhance the contour of the back. In selected cases, the procedure may be combined with arm lift or lower body contouring surgery for more comprehensive results. The primary objective is to achieve natural-looking, balanced, and long-lasting outcomes while preserving the body's natural contours.
Following surgery, it is normal to experience mild pain, swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tightness during the first few days. Most patients can return to their normal daily activities within 2 to 4 weeks, although strenuous exercise and heavy physical activity should be avoided for the period recommended by the surgeon. Wearing the compression garment as instructed supports the healing process and helps the new body contours settle properly. As swelling gradually subsides, the smoother and firmer contour of the back becomes increasingly visible, with the final results continuing to improve over the following months.
